A girl from the Montreal Lake Cree Nation is facing a second-degree murder charge in the homicide of Keith Stewart.
RCMP says it arrested the girl, who is under the age of 16 on Thursday.
Mounties allege that after midnight last Tuesday it received a report of a man requiring medical assistance on the First Nation.
Stewart would be located by first responders receiving help. He would later die at the scene.
Police declared the death suspicious. The girl, who cannot be identified, will appear again in court Friday.
