Indigenous employment continues to grow in the province.

Off-reserve Indigenous employment increased by 1,600, marking 28 consecutive months of year-over-year increases.

Indigenous youth employment was also up by 1,100, marking four consecutive months of year-over-year increases., according to figures released by the province Thursday.

Saskatchewan said off-reserve Indigenous employment is at an all-time high at 62,000.

Statistics Canada reports that Saskatchewan added 9500 new jobs in March, bringing the unemployment rate to 4.7 percent, down from 5 percent in February.
