The Northern Lights School Division says two people at the Dene High School in La Loche were medically treated following an incident at the school Thursday.
Director of Education Jason Young says in a letter to parents that the school community is safe and there is currently no threat.
He states one person is in custody.
The letter goes on to say that support is being offered to students, staff and families as a result of the incident.
Details of the incident were not released. The school was closed today. RCMP have not officially commented on the matter.
