Joyce McLeod will be serving another term as chief of the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

A statement posted on the election officer’s website confirmed McLeod’s re-election. McLeod was challenged by two candidates for the chief’s office in Conrad Bird and Edward Henderson.

For council the four on reserve councillors will be Dean Henderson, Arnold Naytowhow, Carol Naytowhow and Troy Naytowhow. The two urban councillor seats will be filled by Jeff Badger and Eldon Henderson. Charmaine Ermine and Elisa Halkett were both acclaimed to represent the Montreal Lake side of Little Red River Reserve.
