RCMP say two people are facing charges in the death of a La Loche man from last month.
Mounties had been investigating the death of Nathan Piche, who had been reported missing near Garson Lake in mid-February.
On Friday, police arrested Clayton Fontaine, alleging he went into medical distress. While at the hospital, officers claim Fontaine tried to assault them. Authorities say Fontaine was not in medical distress.
He and Erica Herman of Janvier, Alberta are both charged with criminal negligence causing death.
