One woman is in custody after an alleged standoff with police in Prince Albert on Monday.
Police say they were investigating reports of various thefts including a stolen vehicle from a home on MacArthur Drive at around 9:00 Monday morning.
When authorities arrived at another residence in the 400 Block of 18th Street West they say they found a woman with access to a firearm had barricaded herself inside.
Police say 11 other people evacuated the residence had just evacuated the building when officers arrived.
After several hours of negotiations without success police say multiple tactical strategies resulted in the woman surrendering herself and she was safely taken into custody.
Police say a rifle and ammunition was located inside the building.
No one was injured as a result of the incident and the woman is due in court later this week on numerous charges.
