Two more people have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Megan Gallagher.

Gallagher, went missing in Saskatoon in 2020 and human remains believed to be hers were found in the South Saskatchewan River last week.

On Wednesday morning, police announced Roderick Sutherland, who was previously charged with Indignity to human remains in Gallagher’s death and disappearance, now faces a charge of first-degree murder.

Police also announced 24-year-old Summer-Sky Henry had been charged with Gallagher’s murder and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Police also say Roderick Sutherland, one of the individuals previously charged with indignity to human remains, has also been charged with first-degree murder.

This brings the total of people charged in Gallagher’s death and disappearance to 9 and police say they are not anticipating any further charges.

According to police, Henry also has unrelated outstanding warrants including; Unlawful Confinement, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Firearm Offences, Drug Charges, and Failing to Comply with a Court Order.

These latest charges bring the total number of people charged in relation to Gallagher’s death and disappearance to nine with four of them facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Police say the do not anticipate any more charges to be laid at this time.
