The Prince Albert Police (PAPS) have charged a 24-year-old woman with arson in relation to the fire which destroyed the Senator Allen Bird Memorial Centre.
In a media release sent out Monday evening PAPS said the woman, who is from Prince Albert, will make her first court appearance Tuesday morning. The woman’s name was not provided by police.
Firefighters and police were called to the building Friday morning about a fire. The blaze resulted in the entire building being declared a total loss. No injuries were reported and the fire did not damage any other buildings on the grounds.
