Prince Albert police have identified the victim of a New Year’s Day homicide, but say no arrests have been made.

Officers searched a home in the city on January 3rd when they received reports of a homicide that occurred early on January 1st.

Inside the home, police say they discovered the body of 20-year-old Alex Whitehead.

An autopsy was performed yesterday, however, police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators say they do not believe the killing was random.
