The Mayor of La Loche wants answers from Premier Scott Moe as to why he did not take a rapid antigen test for COVID-19 the day he traveled to that northern community to announce the new location of an elementary school.

Moe and Education Minister Duncan traveled to La Loche Monday.

His Press Secretary said Moe tested negative Sunday evening.

Moe said on Twitter Thursday he tested positive, is experiencing no symptoms and that all close contacts have been notified.

Jolibois said in her Jan. 13 letter that she wanted Moe, Duncan and Rural and Remote Health Minister Everett Hindley to provide a full list of visited northern communities last week.

Jolibois said she was contacted by many who attended the Ducharme Elementary School replacement event, where many unvaccinated, including children were present.

She explained that some at the event were not notified as close contacts.
