A Black Lake Denesuline First Nation man is facing a manslaughter charge after an incident this past December.
RCMP say on December 11, 48-year-old Marvin Bigeye of Black Lake was found injured on a road in the community.
Mounties say Bigeye died in hospital a week later.
Donny Robbilard was originally arrested and charged with assault in relation to Bigeye’s injuries, but now RCMP have upgraded the charge to manslaughter.
Robbilard has been remanded into custody and will be back in La Ronge Provincial Court on February 2.
