Prince Albert police continue to investigate what they are calling a serious incident and are warning the public of an increased police presence in an area in the city.

Police say there was evidence of a serious assault at a home on the 300 block of 9th Street East on Monday morning, however, no victims have been found.

Police do believe 27-year-old Byron Bear was at the residence prior to their arrival and they are asking the public’s help in locating him. Bear was reported missing by his family on Monday morning.

Bear is described as 5’10” tall and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, and was last seen wearing black clothing.

Police say no one has been arrested in relation to this incident and they also say they do not believe there is any threat to public safety.

Investigators are also asking anyone who lives in the area to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity early Monday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
