The chief of the Lac La Ronge Fire Department will now also handle the duties of acting chief administrative officer (ACAO) for the town of La Ronge.
Keaton Cloud was appointed to the position during a special council meeting Sunday when four out of seven council members voted him in.
Cloud will also continue in the role of chief of the Fire Department, which he’s held since last year.
The search for an acting chief administrative officer began when former chief administrative officer Steven Brown handed in his resignation after less than a year in the position.
Cloud will fill the position of acting ACAO until the town hires someone permanently, which Cloud said could happen as soon as the end of this week or next week.
