Prince Albert police say they used a taser during a recent arrest in the city.

Police say on Tuesday morning at around 11:30 they responded to a 911 call from a home in Prince Albert.

When they arrived, officers say they observed a stolen vehicle and a man attempting to flee through a window.

When the man began resisting arrest police say a taser was used. Police say the man was safely taken into custody.

29-year-old Germaine Michel was arrested on outstanding warrants. He now faces more charges including assaulting a police officer, assault of a peace officer with a weapon, and two counts of resisting attest.

Michel made a court appearance in Prince Albert on Wednesday morning.
