The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Association is getting into online gambling.

A partnership with the provincial government will see SIGA develop an app, for download to your phone or computer.

SIGA said the app will likely support most casino games and sports betting, but that a request for proposals from developers will outline the options available.

At a signing ceremony Thursday, Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations Chief Bobby Cameron called the agreement historic and a positive benefit.

The webapp will be exclusive to the Saskatchewan market and is anticipated to generate approximately between $20 million to $25 million.

SIGA Board Chair Reg Bellerose said that the Plays Club and loyalty programs will be interchangeable.

The request for proposals s expected to go out shortly and the app is anticipated to be released in 2022.
