RCMP say a woman was kidnapped and assaulted on the Big River First Nation last week.

Police say they received a complaint on Thursday after shots were fired through the broken window of a residence and at a vehicle.

They later arrested two men and a woman at another residence on the First Nation.

Here Mounties found a second woman who had been held against her will for a short period of time and assaulted.

Police say they also seized firearms and ammunition from the residence.

Thirty-seven-year-old Sandra Campbell has been charged with kidnapping, assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Christopher Vandale, also 37, faces charges of forcible confinement and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Thirty-two-year-old Harold Rabbitskin is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and resisting a peace officer.

All three are from Big River and were due in court Tuesday.
