Environment Canada says winds are expected to push the smoke northward, impacting air quality. Conditions will improve Thursday and through Thursday night as a cold front pushes through the region. People may experience symptoms such as; coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath. Children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk. It is advised that you do take precautions to reduce your exposure to wildfire smoke.
