SaskPower is pushing back its estimated time for when power will be restored to communities in the north.

In a tweet posted to their official Twitter account, the utility said crews have been working non-stop since yesterday after gaining access to the sites that were damaged by the wildfire north of Prince Albert.

However, the company said due to what they called “boggy terrain” they have run into challenges repairing damaged transmission lines. As a result, SaskPower said residents should expect to wait until around 8 p.m. tonight for power to come back on.
