More Northern Saskatchewan residents will soon be able to get their COVID-19 vaccination.

In a media release sent out Monday afternoon the provincial government announced starting Tuesday May 4 anyone 18 years of age and older living in the Northern Administrative District will be eligible to receive a shot. Currently northern residents have to be 30 years of age and older to be eligible to get a vaccine.

The province has also announced starting Tuesday that in the rest of Saskatchewan the minimum age for people eligible to be vaccinated will drop to 37 from 40.
