The Prince Albert Police Service has released more details about a weekend homicide in the city.

In a media release police said they were called Saturday to the 900 block of Seventeenth Street W.

According to police, ambulance and firefighters were also called at the same time as they got reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. However police said they can confirm the victim, 44-year-old Norman Charles Custer died of a gunshot wound and there is no evidence he was hit by a car.

Investigation of second death ongoing

P.A. Police are also investigation the death of 29-year-old woman.

According to police they were called to a residence and found the woman unresponsive Monday morning. She was pronounced dead by paramedics, the cause of death has not been released.

Police said they are investigating and an autopsy had been authorized.
