The family of Braden Herman plans to hold a vigil in his memory this coming Saturday.

The body of the 26-year-old man was found in a wooded area near Prince Albert’s Little Red River Park on May 11.

RCMP Corporal Bernie Herman, a 32-year veteran of the force, is charged with first-degree murder in Braden Herman’s death.

Prince Albert police say the two are not related but were known to each other.

Branden Herman’s family says they plan to hold the vigil in the area his body was found.

The case, which was in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday, has been adjourned until June 9.
