Gaelan Patterson is moving on from the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

The team’s associate head coach/general manager is moving to Nanaimo British Columbia to be the director of hockey operations for the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association.

In a tweet from the Ice Wolves’ official Twitter account, the team said Patterson will continue to serve as a scout for the team, working on Vancouver Island.

Patterson, who is from La Ronge, has been with the team since the 2018-19 season. Before moving into coaching, he played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League for the Saskatoon Blades and had an eight year career as a professional playing in Canada, the United States and Europe.
