The Northern Inter Tribal Authority (NITHA) reported 74 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Tuesday.

The far northeast reported the most active cases with 57. The northeast region has the second highest number of cases with seven, followed by the far northwest which has one active case. The north central region reported no active cases Tuesday.

According to NITHA three people are currently in hospital while the number of recoveries now sits at 3196.

In the far north central region, the Athabasca Health Authority reported nine active COVID-19 cases. Since their last report the health authority has seen no new positive cases while one new recovery is being reported.

Of Athabasca communities, Black Lake reported eight active cases with two people from the community in hospital. Meanwhile Fond-du-Lac reported one positive cases with one person in hospital.

The Athabasca Health Authority as well provided overall vaccine numbers for their region. As of Tuesday the health authority had administered 544 people their first dose of the vaccine while a total of 449 had got both doses.
