The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported 33 active COVID-19 cases in their communities Monday.

The far northeast reported the most active cases with 15. The northeast and north central regions both reported five active cases while the far northwest reported two.

NITHA said one person is currently in hospital while the number of recoveries is sitting at 3,254.

In the far north the Athabasca Health Authority reported one active COVID-19 case Monday. Since their last report the health authority has not seen anymore people test positive, but have seen five more cases recover.

The one active case in the basin is from Fond-du-Lac and is currently in hospital.

On the vaccine front, the Athabasca Health Authority reported 551 people had received their first dose of the vaccine while 462 have got both doses.
