The La Ronge Ice Wolves have signed 2003-born forward Ryan Chambers to a letter of intent.

The Drayton Valley, AB product had 24 points in 28 games with the Wetaskiwin Icemen Jr. B team during the 2019-20 season.

“I like to play a hard, physical game, but then still try to put up points and set up teammates,” said Chambers. “I like to kind of try and do it all, but I still need to work on my defensive game a bit.”

Chambers recorded 51 points in 33 games with the Leduc Oil Kings U16 AAA team during the 2018-19 campaign. He also had 119 penalty minutes that season.

Meantime, the status of the 2020-21 SJHL season is still unknown.

The campaign was paused back in November after tighter COVID-19 restrictions were introduced by the province.
