Jaxon White of the La Ronge Ice Wolves has committed to Maryville University in St. Louis for the 2021-22 season.

The 2000-born defenceman has spent time in the SJHL with the Flin Flon Bombers and the La Ronge Ice Wolves. In 61 SJHL regular season games, the Warman product has recorded 15 points and 77 penalty minutes.

“Maryville always seemed to be the most interested in me and seemed to be the best fit for me,” said White. “When I was talking to Jeff Crenshaw, their head of scouting and assistant coach, he really worked with me on what I needed to get there. He kind of wouldn’t leave me alone, he was always in touch with me.”

White will join former La Ronge forward Jake Chartier at Maryville University. White says he plans on studying exercise science.

The Ice Wolves also say 2003-born forward Cobe Delaney has signed a letter of intent with the team.

Delaney is from La Ronge and has tallied four points in seven games this season with the Warman Wildcats U18 AAA team.
