The accolades keep piling up for Liam McGarva.
The former goalie with the La Ronge Ice Wolves has been named the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week.
The Fort Saskatchewan, AB product is playing for Concorida University, which is an NCAA Div. 3 program in Wisconsin. He picked up his first college win Saturday when he made 43 saves versus the Marian Sabres.
McGarva spent parts of two seasons with the Ice Wolves and was a finalist for the SJHL Goalie of the Year award in 2020.
