The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) is reporting 675 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities.

The far northeast region continues to report the highest number of cases with 229. The far northwest has the second highest number of active cases with 167. The northeast zone is currently reporting 151 cases and the north central region has 68.

Eight people are in hospital and the number of recoveries is currently sitting at 1,359.

In the far north central part of the province, the Athabasca Health Authority is reporting 55 active COVID-19 cases. The health authority said this was an increase of 28 cases from their previous report. Five new recoveries were also reported.

The community of Black Lake is reporting the highest number of cases in the basin with 53. One person from the community is currently in hospital and NITHA has also declared an outbreak in the community.

Fond-du-Lac is the only other Athabasca community reporting any active cases, with two, one person from the community is currently in hospital.
