The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported 542 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Friday.

The far northeast is reporting the most active cases with 169. The far northwest region is reporting the second highest number of cases with 159. The northeast zone has 115 active cases and the north central region is reporting 28.

According to NITHA there are currently eight people in hospital while 1,587 recoveries are being reported.

In far north central Saskatchewan the Athabasca Health Authority said there were 44 active cases in their communities as of Friday, an increase of one positive case from their previous report. The health authority also reported five recoveries.

Black Lake has 41 active cases and one person from the community is currently in hospital. Fond-du-Lac is reporting three active cases and three people in hospital.
