RCMP have laid a murder charge in connection to a homicide that occurred on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band in June.
21-year-old Keagan Nelson-Smith was arrested Monday and charged with the second-degree murder of Muhammad Venne.
Venne was found by police and EMS in the early morning hours of June 3 outside a home on the First Nation suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He would later die in hospital. Nelson-Smith will appear in La Ronge provincial court Thursday.
