The number of COVID-19 cases in the north is up.

The Northern Inter Tribal Authority is reporting 341 active cases, an increase from the 323 cases reported Thursday.

The far northeast region continues to have the most active cases with 153 reported Friday. The far northwest has the second highest number of active cases with 105. The north central region is at 48 cases and the northeast has 27.

According to NITHA Athabasca in the far north central region has eight active cases, however the Athabasca Health Authority is reporting a total of 10. The Athabasca Health Authority said there are six active case in Fond-du-Lac, while Black Lake has eight.

NITHA said for their overall area 10 people are currently in hospital and 563 recoveries are being reported.
