Stanley Mission RCMP say a 37-year-old man died after the snowmobile he was driving went through the ice on Lac La Ronge Saturday night.
Police say they received a report of a male who had gone missing while snowmobiling about 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
They say they located the man’s body in the lake a short time later.
RCMP say the man had been snowmobiling with friends the night before when the two snowmobiles they were driving went through the ice.
The two friends were able to escape to safety but the man did not.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service has ordered an autopsy.
