La Ronge is getting advanced paramedic services.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has designated the La Ronge Emergency Medical Services as an Advanced Life Support ambulance service.
“[This service] employs Advanced Care Paramedics who can deliver a higher level of prehospital care such as advanced medications, airway supports, and manage more complex patient care situations,” according to a statement from the Sask. Health Authority.
“Starting January 1, 2021, the rate charged for services by La Ronge Emergency Medical Services will change to $325 per call, which is the same as all other ALS ambulance services in the province. The mileage rate will remain unchanged at $2.30 per kilometer.”
Seniors will pay $135 for this service.
