The Prince Albert Grand Council is mourning the passing of one of its elders Jacob Sanderson.
Sanderson, who was a member of the James Smith Cree Nation, was well respected for the work he did within the community.
He provided spiritual support to a number of organizations including the Prince Albert Police Service, Wanuskewin Heritage Park and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Prince Albert police and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations also sent out press releases on Sanderson’s behalf.
