The Fond du Lac Denesuline First Nation is under a boil water advisory, as the water treatment plant is experiencing mechanical and electrical issues.
The First Nation says an assessment is underway to determine the necessary repairs.
Residents are asked to conserve water for emergency purposes only. A shipment of bottled water is being coordinated.
The water treatment plant is expected to be operational in two weeks.
This setback comes as the First Nation is under a state of emergency and lockdown due to recent COVID-19 infections in the community.
