COVID-19 has reached the Athabasca region of the province.
Sask. public health officials said the first case to come to that area Saturday.
Since then three additional cases in the Far North Central region Sunday.
The Far North West region recorded a death Saturday. A person in their 60’s died due to the virus.
In all, three people died over the weekend of COVID-19 related complications, bringing the provincial total to 28.
The Far North West recorded 11 new coronavirus cases over the weekend with the Far North East at four.
There are currently 69 active cases in the Far North.
