The Northern Lights School Division says an individual at Ducharme Elementary School in La Loche has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
In a letter to parents, NLSD Director of Education Jason Young says contact tracing and deep cleaning of the school are underway.
Existing safety protocols at the school already include mask requirements, proper hand hygiene, physical distancing and cohorting of classes.
If students are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, they are advised to contact the Health Line 811 for further direction.
