RCMP say they are searching for two suspects after a 79-year-old man was assaulted and had his truck stolen in Blaine Lake Monday afternoon.

Mounties say they found the victim lying on the ground in front of a local building around 5:30 p.m.

He was treated on the scene and cleared by EMS.

Officers say two male suspects assaulted the victim and stole his cellphone and truck after he refused to drive them to Prince Albert.

The stolen truck is a grey 2007 Ford F-150 with Saskatchewan licence plate 167 IUM.

It is believed the suspects were travelling north on Highway 40.

The fist male suspect is described as having a heavy build and long hair.

The second male suspect is described as younger than the first and having a slim build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Blaine Lake RCMP at 306-497-3604 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
