RCMP have identified remains discovered near Yorkton last week as those of 40-year-old Darwin Keith Whitehawk.
Whitehawk had been missing since late July.
His body was discovered just off of Highway 16, about eight kilometres west of Springside, on Sept. 16.
Springside is roughly 24 kilometres northwest of Yorkton
Mounties say a forensic autopsy in Saskatoon on Monday confirmed the identity.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Yorkton RCMP at 306-786-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
