A Prince Albert woman is looking for answers about what might have happened to her son.

Twenty-four-year-old Tristan Chaboyer has been missing for almost a month and last week Prince Albert police upgraded his disappearance to suspicious.

Chaboyer’s mother Debbie said the last time she talked to him was on Sept. 4 via social media and no one has heard from him since.

Through talking to friends and acquaintances, Debbie Chaboyer said she believes her son may have been running with the wrong crowd and found himself in trouble.

“That girl that he was messaging that afternoon (Sept. 4), around 1:30 p.m., in their conversation she sent those screen shots to me and it seemed like he owed somebody money for drugs,” she said.

Debbie also said she has come to learn Chaboyer attended what she believes was a party at residence in the area of 17th Street West and 9th Avenue in the early morning hours of Sept. 3, he returned to this house in the afternoon of the next day and this was the last time he was seen.

She is urging anyone who may have information about her son to come forward.

“I’m so worried about my son. I’m hoping someone will come forward. Someone will give me answers. I need to know where my son is.”

Debbie said Chaboyer most recently worked at the Star House Restaurant in Prince Albert.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Prince Albert police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
