After taking two forwards with their first three picks in the 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft, the La Ronge Ice Wolves selected defenceman Ryder Knutson in the fourth round with the 44th overall pick.
“I’d say I’m a defensive defenceman,” said Knutson. “I’m pretty good in our end.”
Knutson, who hails from Swift Current, tallied 27 points in 30 games this past season with the Swift Current Broncos U15 AA team.
“I personally want to get faster, get my cardio better and improve on mostly everything,” said Knutson.
This past season, Knutson played with forward Rylan Williams, who the Ice Wolves selected in the first round of June’s draft.
The Ice Wolves picked seven players in the 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft.
