RCMP say a ninth person has been charged in connection to the death of Tiki Laverdiere.
Police say 33-year-old Charles St. Savard was arrested in Edmonton on Friday. He is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Laverdiere was from Edmonton. She disappeared in May 2019 after attending a funeral on the Thunderchild First Nation.
Her body was later found outside North Battleford.
St. Savard has been returned to North Battleford, where he is scheduled to appear in court today.
