The Ice Wolves have received a big financial boost from the Town of La Ronge.
The town has agreed to forgive the SJHL team $20,000 in debt owed to the municipality as well as giving the Ice Wolves free ice time at the Mel Hegland Uniplex for the upcoming season.
The decision was made at Wednesday night’s council meeting.
La Ronge Minor Hockey and the skating club will also have their ice fees waived.
According to town officials, the changes have been made in light of the uncertainty for organizations that use the uniplex created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
