An Ile-a-la-Crosse man is back in court next month facing numerous sexual assault and unlawful confinement charges.

Forty-two-year-old Aaron Gardiner was originally arrested following an incident in April.

RCMP received a report of a young girl being held against her will in a cabin across the lake from Ile-a-la-Crosse.

Two military helicopters and the RCMP Emergency Response Team were brought to the scene. The girl was rescued and Gardiner was arrested.

Police say since then, more victims have come forward.

Gardiner is facing four counts of sexual assault, three counts of unlawful confinement, uttering threats and firearms offences.

He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake court Aug. 13.
