Stanley Mission RCMP are advising local residents to use caution after a bear entered a residence on Sunday night.
Police say the bear gained entry to a home in the 1700 block of Settee Street by pushing out a portable air conditioner.
One of the residents was taken to a local medical clinic after sustaining injuries exiting the residence.
The bear exited the home and ran into nearby woods.
Conservation officers have placed a trap near where the bear was last seen.
Anyone who sees local bear activity is asked to contact RCMP or the Ministry of Environment.
