RCMP say a female pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit and run accident in La Loche early Friday morning.
Police say Emergency Medical Services received a call of an injured woman lying in the street around 2:30 a.m.
The 20-year-old female was first taken to La Loche hospital and later transferred to Saskatoon via air ambulance.
Police believe the woman was walking along the side of the street when she was struck from behind by a vehicle.
