Sucker River Golfer Dade Bernatchez will be hitting the links this weekend down south.
Bernatchez plays on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour and he will take to the course at Elmwood Golf Club in Swift Current, SK.
“There’s a lot of elm trees, so I’m probably going to have to put my driver in the fairway,” said Bernatchez. “Just hope for the best. Hopefully my putting is on and just see how good I can do.”
The 13-year-old will be competing in the bantam boys division. Bernatchez has had success in Swift Current before, taking home first in a peewee event in July 2019.
Bernatchez is scheduled to tee off at 11:24 a.m. Saturday, with the tournament coming to a close on Sunday.
