Police say two people died on Saskatchewan First Nations on the weekend.

Broadview RCMP say a woman’s body was found in a residence on the Ochapowace First Nation in the early morning hours of Saturday.

Police say an autopsy will be performed in Regina at an as of yet undetermined date.

No other information has been released at this time.

RCMP say they also responded to an altercation at a residence on the Fond du Lac Denesuline First Nation early Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, police found an injured 18-year-old male and 19-year-old female.

Both were taken to local hospital where the male, Skylar Smith (Fern), later died.

The female has since been released.

Nineteen-year-old Jacob John Pacquette of Fond du Lac has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.

He is due in La Ronge court Monday morning.

Police say an autopsy will also be performed Monday in Saskatoon.
