Testing for COVID-19 continues to increase in the Far North.

Stats released Monday indicate 163 people have been tested, up from 103 late last week.

Only three people have confirmed positive in the region which includes Southend.

36 communities have testing centres established including:

Beauval, Buffalo Narrows, Cumberland House and the Cumberland House Cree Nation,
Ile La Crosse, La Loche,
La Ronge, Red Earth and Shoal Lake First Nation,
Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon.
Health officials ask the public to use the self-assessment tool on the Sask. Government website to determine if you should get tested for COVID-19.
Those who fit the criteria can obtain a testing referral by phoning 811, their family physician and nurse practitioner.

Coronavirus testing is only done by referral and is not a walk-in service.
