A 22-year-old male has been charged with several offences in relation to a shooting on March 26 at a home on the Fishing Lake First Nation.
Wadena RCMP found the suspect behind a vehicle on a nearby road on the way to the residence on Saturday.
22-year-old Lane Nataucappo of the Fishing Lake First Nation and four other suspects were arrested at the scene.
A firearm, ammunition and a small amount of illegal opioids were found in the vehicle and seized.
Nataucappo‘s charges include mischief causing danger to life, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and possession of a controlled substance.
The four other individuals were released after an investigation.
Nataucappo was scheduled to appear in provincial court in Wynyard on March 26.
